Current Openings

INFORMATION SPECIALIST

Part-time position with City of Camden. Successful applicant must enjoy interacting with the public, be able to assist researchers, and be enthusiastic about assisting visitors at the Camden Archives & Museum (1314 Broad Street), the Revolutionary War Visitor Center (212 Broad Street), and the African American Cultural Center (517 York Street). 24 hours a week and must be available to work weekends. The applicant will also be responsible for conducting guided tours when needed. MS Office skills a plus.

FIREFIGHTER
Camden Fire Department is accepting applications for a full-time paid firefighter. Position comes with complete benefits package to include SC Police Officers Retirement, SC PEBA health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years firefighting experience and a valid SC driver’s license. EOE

PATROL OFFICER

Under general supervision, is responsible for the fair and equal enforcement of all local and state ordinances and laws. Ensures and participates in the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to include investigating traffic accidents, ensuring safety of streets and sidewalks, directing traffic at various public events, operating various related equipment, etc. Reports to the Sergeant, Shift Supervisor.
