FIREFIGHTER

Camden Fire Department is accepting applications for a full-time paid firefighter. Position comes with complete benefits package to include SC Police Officers Retirement, SC PEBA health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years firefighting experience and a valid SC driver’s license. EOE

PATROL OFFICER

Under general supervision, is responsible for the fair and equal enforcement of all local and state ordinances and laws. Ensures and participates in the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to include investigating traffic accidents, ensuring safety of streets and sidewalks, directing traffic at various public events, operating various related equipment, etc. Reports to the Sergeant, Shift Supervisor.

BUILDING OFFICIAL

The City of Camden is seeking an experienced Building Official to join our team. This position involves reviewing plans and conducting inspections of residential and commercial construction projects to ensure compliance with local Building, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical Codes. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of city codes to daily tasks and meet all compliance and reporting requirements. Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 10 years of experience in construction or code enforcement, or a combination of education and experience. Certification from the South Carolina Building Codes Council and a valid driver’s license are required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building codes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This position also requires physical capability to perform tasks involving walking, standing, and lifting 20-50 pounds.
