Lafayette Weekend Presented by Historic Camden: Run to the Waxhaws tour

Two hundred years ago, the last living Revolutionary War General, Marquis de Lafayette traveled to New York for what was to be four days and four nights of continuous celebration before he launched his three-month tour. Three months turned into thirteen months as he was embraced in every location as the “Nation’s Guest.” Historic Camden Foundation is inviting residents and visitors to a series of events and educational opportunities to mark the anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Camden.

Run to the Waxhaws tour is a Revolutionary Camden Battlefield Bus tour. The bus departs at Historic Cemden and visits Camden garrison, Camden Battlefield, Rugeley’s Mill Battleground, Hanging Rock Battleground, Waxsaws Battleground, Hobkirk’s Hill Battleground. Tickets include a boxed lunch.
