Each day will feature engaging events, hands-on activities, and valuable resources designed to promote learning, creativity, and growth for our youngest learners.

🔹 Monday, April 7 – Music Monday
Kick off the week with the power of music! Join us for interactive music and movement activities that encourage creativity and self-expression. Children will enjoy singing, dancing, and exploring different musical instruments. Be sure to share your musical moments with us using the hashtag #KCFSWeekOfTheYoungChild
🔹 Tuesday, April 8 – Tasty Tuesday 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
It’s all about healthy habits and delicious learning! Families will explore fun, hands-on cooking activities and discover how nutrition plays a key role in early childhood development. Chef Jeff will present a fun and interactive healthy food demonstration at Mt. Pisgah Community Center with free samples courtesy of Camden Food Lion.
🔹 Wednesday, April 9 – Work Together Wednesday 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Let’s collaborate! Children and families will come together for a Color walk-a-thon at the Nature as Teacher Preserve.
🔹 Thursday, April 10 – Artsy Thursday 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Creativity takes center stage as children explore art through drawing and hands-on creativity. Join local artists and downtown businesses in creating a community sidewalk chalk mural at the downtown Camden Breezeway Let’s celebrate imagination and self-expression!
🔹 Friday, April 11 – Family Friday 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
We wrap up the week with a celebration of families! Join us for a FREE fun family movie night at Camden City Green, and resources that strengthen the bond between children and their caregivers.
