Conservation Day Camp

Beginning Monday, July 20th, natural resource professionals will guide explorers through five days of adventure at Goodale State Park. This camp promises to be both a fun and educational experience as campers learn to identify birds, plants and other wildlife. They will improve their skills at fishing and learn archery with SCDNR instructors. Daily activities will conclude with lunch, upcycling sessions, and parent pick- up at 3:00pm.

When: 10:00am – 3:00pm Monday, July 20th – Friday, July 24th, 2026
Where: Drop off at Goodale State Park Community Building
Who: Children ages 8-12

Activities: SCDNR fishing class and archery instruction, nature walks, animal/plant life identification with noted naturalists. Also, a field trip to Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville, SC with Splash Pad fun to follow. (Details included at time of registration) Afternoon sessions led by Ashley Branham, Director at Nature as Teacher Preserve, and Upcycling activities by Lorrie Welch, former Conservation Teacher of the Year. Lunch will be provided daily. Forest Land Management, Inc is the lunch sponsor of this year’s camp.
