Artifacts of His Majesty’s Army: Archaeological Evidence of the British Military
This program explores the physical remains of British military camps during the period of the American Revolution. Drawn extensively from the collections of Fort Ticonderoga, it will emphasize the most regularly recovered artifacts from periods of British occupation. Such artifacts will be given context, emphasizing the complete objects that are often recovered as loose or dissassociated components in an archaeological context. Attention will be given to understanding which objects that can be attributed to the rank and file versus officers by virtue of their quality, construction, or decoration.
The event will be hosted at the Liberty Hall in The Revolutionary War Visitor Center at Camden, and Dr. Keagle will join us Remotely.
Registration is free, but donations to the program are always greatly appreciated.
