Historic Camden Foundation’s PIRATE FEST
Get ready for September pirate shenanigans! Historic Camden Foundation has three days of events you won’t want to miss.
Join in a special edition of the Folklore & Legends Lantern Tour on Thursday, September 17. Hear the tales of the infamous pirates who visited South Carolina’s shores and maybe even meet some pirates along the way! Complimentary grog for all attendees. Feel free to wear your pirate best. Ages 12 and up. No dog or parrots please. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Friday is when the true shenanigans can be found, as the annual Eventide celebration begins. Raise a pint and sing along to your favorite seafaring shanties played by Bloody Mad & the Scalawag Orchestra! Adults 21 and over only. Complimentary snacks, cash bar and food for purchase. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Saturday’s main event is a Parley of Pirates & Scalawags, a swashbuckling family-friendly adventure! Join in the Pirate Olympics, featuring a peg leg race, walking the plank and more! Captain your own vessel and race for treasure in the Pirate Ship Races. Sing along to your favorite sea shanties, sit in at pirate school, see swashbuckling sword fighting, hear tall pirate tales and explore the encampment and artillery line. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
