The Blankets & Bands free concert series returns to Town Green. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and join friends and family for some live music outdoors in Downtown Camden.

The Sunrise Jazz Ensemble comes to Camden on Thursday, October 8th. Led by acclaimed saxophonist Ken Cheeks and featuring guest vocalist Crystal Felder, this legendary group will fill the air with smooth jazz and groovy funk tunes.

All concerts will be held on Thursdays, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, weather permitting, with a student or young musician performing the opening act and the headlining band taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine are permitted on Town Green during the hours of the concerts. No glass containers are allowed on Town Green. In the event of cancellation due to weather, notifications will be placed on the City’s website and social media channels.

The Blankets & Bands concert series partners Downtown Camden Cultural District with the Arts Center of Kershaw County. It brings free, live music to the community during the spring and fall months.
