Fire Fest activities at the Arena are from 9 am until 1 pm. \nThis family friendly event allows residents and visitors learn about the importance of fire prevention and fire safety while enjoying live firefighting demonstrations and competitions\, as well as a live burn to show the basics of outdoor grill safety\, getting up close and personal with antique fire trucks\, and engaging in other live entertainment and games for all age. DESCRIPTION:Once a month\, the Rev War Center offers a free homeschool day where small school groups can come together and experience one of the educational programs offered by the Center. A minimum of ten students will be needed to host these educational programs\, if the minimum is not met then parents will be notified a week prior that the program will be canceled. Programs are geared toward students in 3rd grade through high school. Younger students are welcome to attend and follow along\, but will need the assistance of their guardian throughout the program. Adults are welcome to sit in on the program\, just be aware that the focus will be on teaching the young students present. \nSign up today at simplyrevolutionary.com \nOctober: Becoming a State \nStudents will declare their own independence from the United States by following the example/ blueprint of the country’s own Declaration of Independence from Britain. After declaring independence students will be tasked with setting up a new government with five inalienable rights using the reasons from their previously submitted declaration. DESCRIPTION:The Blankets & Bands free concert series returns to Town Green this fall! Bring your blanket or lawn chair and join friends and family for some live music outdoors in Downtown Camden. \nFor the first time on the Blankets & Bands stage\, enjoy two-time CCMA Award Winner and 2023 Female Artist of the Year Taylor Richardson and her band\, playing country music all night long on Thursday\, October 2nd. \nAll concerts will be held on Thursdays\, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm\, weather permitting\, with a student or young musician performing the opening act and the headlining band taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine are permitted on Town Green during the hours of the concerts. No glass containers are allowed on Town Green. In the event of relocation or cancelation due to weather\, notifications will be placed on the City’s website and social media channels. \nThe Blankets & Bands concert series is a partnership between the Downtown Camden Cultural District and the Arts Center of Kershaw County\, bringing free\, live music to the community during the spring and fall months.

Get ready to groove! \nAll concerts will be held on Thursdays\, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm\, weather permitting\, with a student or young musician performing the opening act and the headlining band taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine are permitted on Town Green during the hours of the concerts. No glass containers are allowed on Town Green. In the event of relocation or cancelation due to weather\, notifications will be placed on the City’s website and social media channels. \nThe Blankets & Bands concert series is a partnership between the Downtown Camden Cultural District and the Arts Center of Kershaw County\, bringing free\, live music to the community during the spring and fall months.
