DESCRIPTION:The Blankets & Bands free concert series returns to Town Green this fall on Thursdays\, September 18\, October 2\, October 16 and October 30. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and join friends and family for some live music outdoors in Downtown Camden. \nBlankets and Bands kicks off this fall on Thursday\, September 18th with the return of Latin Caravan. Move to the sounds of Latin Jazz\, Salsa\, Merengue\, and more. Bring a picnic or enjoy take out from one of the local restaurants. \nAll concerts will be held on Thursdays\, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm\, weather permitting\, with a student or young musician performing the opening act and the headlining band taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine are permitted on Town Green during the hours of the concerts. No glass containers are allowed on Town Green. In the event of relocation or cancelation due to weather\, notifications will be placed on the City’s website and social media channels. \nThe Blankets & Bands concert series is a partnership between the Downtown Camden Cultural District and the Arts Center of Kershaw County\, bringing free\, live music to the community during the spring and fall months.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Camden Fire Department and other community partners for the 29th Annual Fire Fest on Saturday\, September 27! \nIt all begins with the parade downtown of current and antique fire trucks\, leaving Camden City Hall at 9 am\, continuing down Rutledge and Broad Streets to end at the main event at Camden City Arena\, 420 Broad Street. Fire Fest activities at the Arena are from 9 am until 1 pm. \nThis family friendly event allows residents and visitors learn about the importance of fire prevention and fire safety while enjoying live firefighting demonstrations and competitions\, as well as a live burn to show the basics of outdoor grill safety\, getting up close and personal with antique fire trucks\, and engaging in other live entertainment and games for all age. DESCRIPTION:The Blankets & Bands free concert series returns to Town Green this fall! Bring your blanket or lawn chair and join friends and family for some live music outdoors in Downtown Camden. \nFor the first time on the Blankets & Bands stage\, enjoy two-time CCMA Award Winner and 2023 Female Artist of the Year Taylor Richardson and her band\, playing country music all night long on Thursday\, October 2nd. \nAll concerts will be held on Thursdays\, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm\, weather permitting\, with a student or young musician performing the opening act and the headlining band taking the stage at 6:30 pm. Beer and wine are permitted on Town Green during the hours of the concerts. No glass containers are allowed on Town Green. In the event of relocation or cancelation due to weather\, notifications will be placed on the City’s website and social media channels. \nThe Blankets & Bands concert series is a partnership between the Downtown Camden Cultural District and the Arts Center of Kershaw County\, bringing free\, live music to the community during the spring and fall months.
